At Object Embassy we pride ourselves on producing re-editions of Pierre Jeanneret’s now-iconic office chair that do justice to his original design and ethos. The most immediate way in which we do this is by using traditional, responsibly-sourced materials and production techniques. However, our work does not stop at creating a physical likeness. With a classic design such as this, we think it’s also important to incorporate the history and ethos into the design and presentation of our product. 

Creating our own chair has been a thoughtful process, along the way we’ve made choices that align with the spirit of the original. This is why we are starting a blog, to trace the intriguing history of the chair but also to document our progress as a young start-up company. Stay tuned!
